Welcome to the God Expects Me website.

This website is provided as an extension of the book GOD EXPECTS ME: Living the Reality of  Life by Embracing the Reality of God.  Both aim to share and promote continuing discovery into the depths of a personal relationship with God, which is meant to be for everyone, everywhere.

Believing in God and knowing God are two different activities that belong together and feed each other.  Belief seems to come easier than actually getting to know Him.  From experience, I can appreciate the difference.  Since childhood, I’ve always believed in God, but for the longest time in my youth, I didn’t know Him.  This lack of knowing why I believed, why I supposedly loved Him and He loved me, created a personal disconnect between us.  With no ill intent, I easily drifted away from Him and made life choices without seeking His blessing.  Ignoring Him was detrimental to my person, but this fact did not become apparent until after I grew to seek Him from an adult perspective.

GOD EXPECTS ME is a memoir that enables the reader to become the “Me” within the book by virtue of common human experience. It walks through many stages of growing to know God.  Writing is my way of encouraging you to go further into the embrace of God as the reality of daily life.  When we come to treat God as God in all things, the deepness of this two-way relationship continues to be revealed. As you go about your business, may He bless you abundantly with the grace to recognize the personal hug of His presence.
